“Amateurs sit and wait for inspiration, the rest of us just get up and go to work.”― Stephen King,

On Writing: 10th Anniversary Edition: A Memoir of the Craft
If I had to recommend only one book about writing it is Stephen King’s On Writing. It was this book that inspired and pushed me to write my first novel. Part autobiographical, On Writing touches on King’s humble beginnings, both as a person and as a writer. He, too, questioned his writing at times. In fact, his first published book, Carrie, would have been trashed had it not been for his wife who retrieved it out of the garbage and encouraged him to finish it. On Writing then goes King’s advice on writing—King’s rules on what to do and what not to do when writing. He is brutally honest, not to be mean, but to make his readers better writers.
I am currently in the process of editing my next book. The first round of edits are manually being done by me in order to be sure of my structure and flow. The second round of edits (out of many rounds and types planned) will involve the use of an editing software such as ProWriting Aid. I have downloaded this tool and will be giving a fair assessment once I test it out. This is supposed to be the gold-standard of editing tools, per all the reviews. I will be back with my personal review.
While Canva cannot necessarily help you with your writing, it most definitely can help you show it off. Canva can help you design your social media, posters, book cover images, and more. Even the most novice of designers, can take advantage of this user-friendly software.
